An awesome Christmas and Happy New Year with our family....

First we want to say that we hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and rung in the New Year with happiness! We had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy start to the New Year also!
When you look at the pics I have posted for the month of December you will see a couple old photos of a baby....this baby is me. Olivia looks just like me in these photos. My mom found them and I made copies for Olivia.
Well, the month of December was a busy one. I'm hoping that things will slow down now that we are in the new year and the holidays are behind us until next year! One of my resolutions for this year is to slow down. I also need to get the baby weight off that I gained so I'm going to start walking and yoga for now. I want to have myself back to my normal weight and body by July!
Nicholas is growing up so much. He is becoming such a little man. He is so sweet. He has his moments where he throws his fits(they are horrible), but for the most part he's always a good boy and listens very well. He's very smart. He knows alot of his animals, what they do and the sounds they make. He is always kissing his baby sister and even likes to hold her in his arms. We go to the salon sometimes and he knows where the little broom is and starts helping sweep the floors. He helps Mama fold the towels at the salon too. He LOVES being outdoors! The only downside to going outside is that at some point it's time to go in and well.....that is when the fits start :o) We are either in the back yard, at the park or in the front watering the plants on the porch. He also goes out on Nana's property with her and the other kids when he's there in the mornings and sometimes the afternoon when I get there to pick him up. This Christmas he learned how to sat "HO HO HO" when he sees Santa and when he sees snowmen too!! He has a fairly big vocabulary though too. He says dog now too and many others. We took him and Olivia to the Christmas parade on Canal St and he really enjoyed it this year! We also went to a Christmas event the hospital put on one night too and hung out with their cousin Briana and Aunt Rose. Anytime I open Olivias room he's right behind me to go in and play in there too! :o) It's adorable. Oh yeah and we actually got to go to church one Sunday as a family. It's the one we are having the kids baptised in. We are planning to go back! It was nice to go together with the kids. It was a nice service, the people were nice(we knew a few) and the kids were well behaved, as always :o)
Olivia is growing so fast. She is already 3 months old and getting so big. She's grown out of a lot of clothes already...I can't believe how the time flys by. :o( She has been holding her head up really well for quite sometime and she stands strong when you hold her up with her feet on our legs. She smiles and laughs a lot too! She likes looking at Nicholas and just smiles so big at him and laughs. She also has started grabbing the rattles we have for her too. Everytime we take a picture of her, she makes her eyes get so big....it's so funny!! We took her and Nicholas to Friends bank here in town for their Christmas event and we all sat on Santas lap! Nicholas had a big time on the Fireman pole and at Dennys afterward with Auntee Trisha and Uncle John and Ian!
We also went to a friend of mine daughters 1st bday. That was an adventure taking them both by myself! We made it through. Thank God for all the women there, b/c they all just passed Olivia around and held her which allowed me to chase after Nicholas and play with him! I braved it again and we all went to lunch with Nana to Norwoods one afternoon...that went well too. Depends on the day though with the both :o) We helped dad hang Christmas lights, we had a trip to the park, his cousins birthday party at the Jumpy Place, our neighbors annual Christmas Eve party and then Christmas!
Christmas morning Olivia woke up to her first Christmas and pretty much slept through it all. Nicholas woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Then walked out in the living room and saw the presents waiting for him! He loved his train from Santa so much he barely saw the wrapped gifts. He knew more about it this year, but next year he will REALLY know and it will be even more fun!! Daddy opened Olivia gifts for her until next year! :o) Nana stopped by later in the morning to see what they got for Christmas and then we got them dressed and it was off to dinner and more gifts at Papa and Granny's house. Then to Nanas for dessert and even more gifts!
The whole next day after Christmas was spent playing with new toys he got for outside. Rays bday was the 29th and we all went to dinner at the outback.
That brings us to New Years Eve....we spent it at my oldest brothers house with family and a couple friends. All the kids were there until Nana went home after dinner and they all had a slumber party with her that night. Ray and I picked them up first thing the next morning(We missed them SO much) and spent the whole day playing and napping!
So you see, we had a BUSY December and hoping that this new year will be at a slower pace. We'll see!! Hope you enjoy the new pics, video and enjoy reading all about what's new with us. Until next month Take care and be well!!
