Almost the end of summer....

Well we only have a few short weeks left of summer, offically. So we are trying to take full advantage of it! The month of August was crazy busy for us. We did get the boat out one more time before baby girl arrives in just a few short weeks. We went out with Nicholas and his Aunt Heather and cousins. He had tons of fun playing in the sand and water with us and his cousins, playing with Rain(Aunt Heathers dog) and eating watermelon!!
Mama was 8 mos pregnant with baby sister this month too. We have spent the whole month trying to finish projects and get ready for her arrival. I think we are finally finished with the projects for the most part and can relax a little while we wait for her to arrive! :o)
We threw Nana a SURPRISE 60th birthday party at Uncle Shawns and Aunt Wendys house! She was totally surprised and had a blast hanging with her gandkids and just not being at home where there is ALWAYS something to do!
Nicholas has been feeding himself a lot more which is nice, b/c it saves us time. Plus it is so cute to watch. Even though we have a big mess to clean up when he's done! :o) He loves spagetti or really anything that Ray and I are eating. We usually add a small portion for him onto our plates! :o)
We also got baby girls room pretty much finished. All we are needing to finish now are the mural and some things I'm making for her room that a friend of ours is going to be helping me with! My sister in law Wendy also threw me a little "sprinkle" the last Saturday in August just for some cute pink things for her and to spend some time together with family and friends. It was really nice and Nicholas had fun playing with his cousins while I opened gifts for his little sister. It was so funny too, b/c Nicholas will never leave his sunglasses on that I try to get him to wear, but his cousin Briana had hers on and he wanted to wear them too. So we let him wear them for a minute even though they are pink haha!
He enjoyed playing with his old toys in his sisters room while I was finishing up in there. It was cute. We also went to a birthday party for one of Rays clients that turned 90 years old...Nicholas enjoyed that with the music and everything going on. He is still holding on to everything and walking, but hasn't let go for some reason. Maybe b/c he's fallen on the tile a few times and he's scared. He could really do it, we just know he can. He has to do it on his own time though. We do walk holding his hands and try to help him let go, but I guess he's just not ready quite yet. I hope we don't have the 1st 2 yr old in history not walking on his own hahahaha!! :o) When he does let go we better be ready though, b/c I know he will be running everywhere.
So that has been our crazy busy, yet FUN month of August! We are hoping that September will be a little less busy so we can relax a little before baby girl arrives! Let's just pray we don't get Hurrican Hanna or any tornadoes! Check out all the new pics and video from August and the look a like meter we did! Hope you all had a great summer! We did and we are about to have an interesting fall and winter coming up with 2 kids in the house! :o) Till next month take care and be well :o)
